Richard Hamer and Linda Spurling, residents of Harriman Care and Rehabilitation Center, were married Sept. 30. Father Michael Sweeney officiated at the ceremony.

St. Francis of Assisi, Fairfield Glade

The Council of Catholic Women’s monthly meeting will be held after the 8 a.m. Mass on Wednesday, Nov. 14a. Lois Davis will speak on the topic “Joshua’s Dog Biscuits.”

The book club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, in the conference room to discuss Room (Little, Brown, 2012) by Emma Donoghue.

St. John Neumann, Farragut

Parishioner Steve Pacitti presented “The Pursuit of Purity: The Role of Men in Recovering and Protecting Purity in Our Families and Society” on Oct. 30 at the church. Mr. Pacitti discussed how families have been impacted by the sexual revolution, specifically by divorce, single parenthood, abortion, pornography, and homosexuality.

St. Joseph, Norris

The St. Joseph Council of Catholic Women sponsored a program titled “Faithful Citizenship” on Oct. 14 in the St. Joseph social hall. Deacon Gary Brinkworth spoke on issues important for Catholics to consider for the upcoming presidential election.

St. Therese, Clinton

The St. Therese Council of Catholic Women thanked the parish for supporting its rummage sale. Proceeds from the sale will go toward supporting the charitable works of the CCW.
