KCHS student receives West Point appointment

Reese Staley, son of Jim and Patrice Staley, has received an appointment for the class of 2017 at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.

Reese on May 18 graduated from Knoxville Catholic High School, where he was a senior captain and a member of the Fighting Irish football team for four years, editor of the school newspaper (The Blarney Stone), vice president of his class, and a member of the National Junior Honor Society. He is also a parishioner of Sacred Heart Cathedral.

The prospective members of the class of 2017 will report to West Point for the first time on July 1.
Reese also will be playing sprint football for West Point.
