Bishop Richard F. Stika received two checks totaling more than $10,000 from the Knights of Columbus on Nov. 1 in the Our Lady of the Mountains Chapel at the Chancery office in Knoxville.

Making the presentations were Mike Wills, supreme director of the Knights; Tracy Staller, state treasurer; and Ron Henry and Hank McCormick, Knights of Columbus field agents for Knoxville.

The first check presented totaled $2,610.11 and will benefit Diocese of Knoxville seminarians. The funds came from a charity golf event at the Knights’ state convention last spring. The golf event supports seminarians in all three dioceses in Tennessee.

The second check, for $7,500, also came from funds collected at the state convention and will go toward charities designated by the bishop.
