Knoxville Catholic announces National Merit Scholarship semifinalists

Knoxville Catholic High School announced the names of its four National Merit Scholarship semifinalists. They are Jacqueline Chavez, Elliott Consoli, Andy Fox, and Theo Sholly.

In fall 2011, 1.5 million students in 22,000 high schools took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Of these students, only 16,000 were chosen as National Merit semifinalists. Jacqueline, Elliott, Andy, and Theo represent less than 1 percent of all high school seniors in Tennessee.
