Most of us simply want to mind our own business and stay out of other people’s way—neither to be a bother nor be bothered. We keep our noses clean, hoping for a little peace. Is that really asking so much? Simon of Cyrene was doing exactly that. He was just passing by, on his way back from the fields, minding his own business. He wasn’t looking for trouble or meaning.
