Bishop Richard F. Stika has announced that Deacon Al Forsythe has been appointed the new director of the Office of Marriage Preparation and Enrichment and program and development manager for the Christ Prince of Peace Retreat Center in Benton. Deacon Forsythe was ordained to the permanent diaconate in 2016 and since then has served at St. John Neumann Parish in Farragut. He also has worked closely with the development team in the design, construction, and initial operations of the diocesan retreat center. Deacon Forsythe previously served as director of the diocesan Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. He began his new duties on July 1.
