John Ramaglia

John Vincent Ramaglia Sr., 75, passed away peacefully in his Washburn home on Jan. 8 surrounded by family.

Mr. Ramaglia was born in 1950 to Thelma and John Ramaglia. He married the love of his life, Denise, in 1971.

Mr. Ramaglia loved to go fishing, go swimming in the river, have family movie nights, and so much more with his grandchildren. He taught them how to work on cars and to build anything they could imagine.

He was just a very loving caring Pop-Pop and father.

Mr. Ramaglia is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Susan Ramaglia; a great-grandson, Gunner Maness; and his granddaughter, Nova Ramaglia.

He is survived by the love of his life, Denise Ramaglia; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Frank Elmore; son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Edye Ramaglia; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Christine Ramaglia; daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Mike Maness; son, John Ramaglia Jr.; grandchildren, Landon, Sierra, John, and Milania Elmore; Nicholas, Dakota, and Justin Maness; and granddaughter, Phoibe Ramaglia.

A funeral Mass for Mr. Ramaglia was celebrated on Jan. 12 at St. Teresa of Kolkata Church in Maynardville, with Father Samuel Mungai, GHM, serving as the celebrant, and Father Joseph Maundu, GHM, concelebrating the Mass. Deacon Larry Rossini assisted at the Mass.

A burial service at Pleasant View Cemetery in Maynardville followed the funeral Mass. Pallbearers were Frank Elmore, Landon Elmore, John Elmore, Nicholas Ramaglia, Dakota Maness, Justin Maness, Paul Ramaglia, John Ramaglia Jr., and Andrew Ramaglia.

Donations in Mr. Ramaglia’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
