Kingsport Knights of Columbus take part in pro-life vigil in Bristol

Members of Knights of Columbus Aldo J. Zazzi Council 6992, serving St. Dominic Parish in Kingsport, gathered on Oct. 1 for a peaceful pro-life prayer vigil outside the Bristol Women’s Health facility in Bristol, Va.

The Knights joined fellow Catholics and pro-life supporters from the parishes of St. Mary in Johnson City, St. Anne in Bristol, Va., and Christ the King in Abingdon, Va., in prayer and public witness for the protection and dignity of human life.

Participants offered prayers for unborn children, expectant mothers and fathers, families facing difficult circumstances, and all those affected by abortion.

“We are incredibly grateful to Mike Miller and all of our brother Knights who continue to give their time to stand together in prayer for the protection and dignity of life,” said Mark Pendley, Grand Knight of Council 6992.

“It is especially encouraging to see Catholics from parishes throughout our region coming together in prayer and solidarity for the unborn, their mothers, fathers, and families.”

Mr. Miller has helped coordinate Council 6992’s participation in the vigils, organizing Knights to maintain a peaceful and prayerful presence throughout the campaign.

The Bristol vigils are part of Knights Council 6992’s continuing commitment to building a culture of life through prayer, charitable service, and support for women, children, and families throughout Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
